Participants in the Great Decisions seminars explored US vulnerabilities to interruptions in US companies' and agencies' global supply chains, plus the risks to defense from hardware and software issues. Overall, members were concerned with the interdependency of China and the US on trade, and the risks of a newly nationalistic China to the US industrial base, particularly for defense supplies and processes.
