Dr. Michael O. Slobodchikoff is Professor of Political Science and the Founding Director of the Center for Eastern and Central European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies, at Troy University. 

Dr. Slobodchikoff is a leading expert on security in Eastern Europe. He has often served as an analyst on Russian relations with Ukraine and the West, for BBC World News, Al Asharq News, and Al Qahera News.

He also serves on the Board of Directors of VPA Reports.

He is the author of these books:

  • Building Hegemonic Order Russia's Way: Rules, Stability and predictability in the Post-Soviet Space (Lexington Books)
